Peace is a Practice

Peace is a practice 🍃 The moment we think we are healed, we are not.

It is a constant negotiation of release and expansion, because with each level of healing we do, we have more capacity to grow.

Over the years, the teachers who have taught me the most are the ones who have admitted they are still growing. Shared that as they teach, they also continue to explore and release and heal in the shadowy territory of discomfort.

Because we are here to constantly grow towards our own light, and shed little bits of our darkness as we do.

Peace is a practice, like digging a hole at the beach. When the water comes in, the sand starts gently drifting into the hole, slowly the sediment fills it once again, and we have to resume our dig in order to make space again.

Peace is a practice that need not exhaust us if we lean in and enjoy the satisfaction of digging in the moment, deeper and deeper into who we truly are as we shed our layers.

Clearing away the sediment that may have even been deposited into us from other people, other ideas that do not belong to us.

Peace is a practice and you get to choose how to proceed.
